synopsis for the southern california coast and santa barbara channel including the channel islands national marine sanctuary and national park...at 15z, or 8 am pdt, a 1033 mb surface high was centered 500 nm southwest of portland, oregon and extending to a 1025 mb ridge in northern nevada. A 1011 mb surface low was located over the southern california bight. Winds will slowly diminish across the northern and outer coastal waters tonight.
